报告题目： On a class of coupled nonlinear elliptic equations

报告摘要：We survey the results on the existence and qualitative property of positive solutions to a class of coupled elliptic equations and some related problems. Due to various coupling mechanism different type of results on the solution structures are given for the attractive, repulsive and mixed cases, and along the way some questions are raised for further studies.

报告人简介：王志强，美国犹他州立大学教授。吉林大学1982年本科毕业，1984年和1986年中科院数学所分获硕士和博士学位，曾在北京大学和纽约大学博士后及犹他大学和威斯康星大学访问研究，1991年任教犹他州立大学。2015年当选美国数学会会士。研究方向涉及非线性泛函分析抽象理论方法和在非线性微分方程的应用, 特别是发展极大极小方法，Morse 理论，拓扑度理论和分支理论, 主要以非线性椭圆方程和Hamiltonian系统作为应用模型，具体问题也包括泛函不等式最佳常数和极值函数对称性质和函数空间嵌入性质等，已发表200多篇学术论文。
