报告题目:Model/data – driven transmission dynamics for COVID-19 pandemic
报告摘要:Since the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), many countries have experienced the multiple outbreaks of infection, accompanied by lockdown, opening and re-lockdown and re-opening and etc. Modeling the transmission dynamics of the novel coronavirus presents us a great challenge. In this talk I initially introduce some hot research issues in epidemiology when facing the outbreak of infectious diseases. Then introduce our work on prediction of COVID-19 infection, the impact of resumption of work and population flow on the possible outbreaks and etc, by fitting the proposed model to the multi-source data. Based on the idea of optimal control, we can obtain when and where travel restrictions can be lifted, and how to organize orderly movement patterns become critical with the reduction of the epidemic situation. Finally, I shall show some prediction/waning system and present the some thinking on modelling COVID-19 pandemic.

报告人简介:肖燕妮,西安交通大学数学与统计学院副院长、数学与生命科学交叉研究中心主任、博士生导师。主要从事数据和问题驱动的传染病动力学的研究。参与完成了国家“十一五”、“十二五”和“十三五”科技重大专项艾滋病领域的建模研究。与北京同仁医院和中国军事医学科学院合作完成了医院感染动力学的研究。主持国家自然科学基金4项,其中重点项目1项。2017年至今任中国生物数学专业委员会副主任,2020年起任国务院第八届学科评议组成员(数学)。
