报告题目：Optimal control and its application to the analysis of ecological and economic problems

报告摘要：Be it fishery or production of goods, we always wish to find an optimal strategy that would maximize our profit and minimize the negative consequences of our activities. Optimal control theory provides us with a powerful tool to solve this problem. In this course, we will consider one of two main approaches to compute optimal solutions: the Pontryagin Maximum Principle (PMP) and its ramifications. We will learn to formulate optimal control problems for real-life problems and discuss their advantages and limitations, and touch upon the problem of sensitivity analysis of obtained optimal solutions.
