报告题目：Game theory: Implications for academic research and business practices

报告摘要：Some people think that game theory is the most popular and useful area for doing academic work and for improving the world. Many people have got the Noble Prize for their work on game theory. Moreover, it is easy to make game theory publications (using statistics or optimization), and to get grants, receive visiting professor invitations in the area of game theory. In the present seminar, the basic concepts and mathematical models of game theory will be reviewed. The presentation will cover models, algorithms, computer programs and applications of game theory. The applications of game theory in different disciplines will be briefed. The implications of game theory for both academic research and professional practices will be discussed.

个人简介：Prof. Sardar M. N. Islam has published 24 research books (published by top international publishers) and over 200 articles. Some of his articles are published in top international journals such as Optimisation theory and applications, Journal of industrial and management optimisation, Review of quantitative finance and accounting, etc.
