应数学系付永强教授邀请，重庆大学数学与统计学院院长、美国范德堡（Vanderbilt）大学数学系郑德超教授将于近日来我校进行讲学活动，欢迎感兴趣的师生参加！ 报告时间：7月17日10:00 报告地点：数学系会议室（格物楼503） 报告题目：The spectrum and essential spectrum of Toeplitz operators 报告摘要：On the Hardy space, by means of an elegant and ingenious argument, Widom showed that the spectrum of a bounded Toeplitz operator is always connected and Douglas showed that the essential spectrum of a bounded Toeplitz operator is also connected. Moreover the spectrum of a Toeplitz operator with the continuous symbol is completely determined by analytic and geometric properties of the symbol. In this talk, we will discuss the spectrum and essential spectrum of a Toeplitz operator on the Bergman space with the harmonic symbol continuous on the closure of the unit disk. 报告人简介： 郑德超，男，教授，国际著名数学家，函数空间上的算子理论研究领域的领军人物。
1982年重庆大学应用数学专业本科毕业；1985年四川大学基础数学硕士研究生毕业在四川大学任教；1987年至1992年与美国纽约州立大学石溪分校基础数学专业博士毕业；1992年至1993年在美国柏克莱分校数学研究所做博士后，1993年至1994年在美国加州大学柏克莱分校做博士后；1994年至1996年美国密歇根州立大学任研究讲师；1996年至今在美国范德堡（Vanderbilt）大学任教，从助理教授、副教授到教授。
郑德超教授在美国留学至今已26年，主要研究函数空间上的算子理论，在国际顶尖专业学术期刊上发表文章四十多篇，他的研究引领着目前该领域的前进方向。
现在任重庆大学两江数学中心主任，数学与统计学院院长，博士生导师。 |
